Position : French Brand Manager, in temporary replacement of the Senior Brand Manager during her maternity leave

Job Purpose :
The Brand Manager is responsible for leading the business management, localised strategic planning, and marketing tactical execution.
Key Responsibilities :
Business / Operating Results (Profit, Costs, Revenue)
- Manage Annual Operating Plans, P&L’s and annual business strategies, in a manner consistent with fact-based business plan building.
- Meet or exceed the Operating Income goals for assigned brands in the Annual Operating Plan by taking a profit-maximisation approach to Marketing and Brand Management.
- Actively manage brand lifecycle by recommending launch build quantities, profit maximizing strategies based a solid understanding of brand’s pricing, sell in, sell through, channel / barn inventory, and competitive environment.
- Ensure accuracy and quality in forecasts of brand revenue, spending, and profitability.
- Develop and implement brand learning plans/post-mortems that measure return on marketing investment and provide indicated actions to improve marketing effectiveness for future title releases.
Marketing / Consumer Results (Effectiveness, Creativity, Consumer and Competitive Understanding)
- Use consumer research to understand and define target audience. Use target as basis for marketing strategy creation.
- Develop, champion and deploy creative marketing plans that effectively and efficiently reach consumer target audience.
- Evangelize brand to external partners (1st parties, Licensors, Retailers, Agencies) and by sharing best practices with EUP marketing colleagues.
Leadership Results (Setting direction, communicating, developing people)
- Lead the creation of territory’s strategies and tactics for maximizing brand profitability through demonstrated knowledge of brand equities, the consumer target, brand business dynamics and competitive environment.
- Lead cross-functional team (PR, Sales, Trade Marketing, Operations, Production Services, Finance) to deliver successful product launches and business results.
- Lead media briefing and planning process through close collaboration with media agency. Take responsibility for educating and involving agency partners.
- Clearly communicate strategies, risks and opportunities for assigned brands to all levels of the organization.
- Engage all internal and external resources necessary to drive strong business results.
- Provide effective team leadership by attracting and selecting the right talent, setting expectations, communicating clear feedback, developing people, and rewarding people appropriately.The individual in this position will also take a leading role in European projects, functional/project based leadership towards peer group(s).
Relationships (Working relationships, Internal and External)
- Establish effective working relationships with territory brand team (PR, Trade, Sales, Finance, Operations, Localizations), European Marketing and Senior Management.
- Establish partnerships with external parties that maximize profitability of assigned brands.
- Functional leadership – marketing thought leader in territory, coaching role towards peers in different BUs
- Management capacities – experience with managing direct reports, proven people management skills
